- Increased cold or chewing/pressure sensitivity is common after new fillings. This generally subsides after three weeks but, in some cases, may last several months before resolving. You may wish to avoid hot/cold and hard/crunchy food and beverages for the first few days or until the symptoms resolve.
- Sometimes a tooth will continue to feel achy or sore because the bite or surface of the filling needs an adjustment. Please contact our office if you experience symptoms lasting more than a week so we may evaluate whether or not the filling needs a bite adjustment.
